R1CH has released a little Windows program called the Tremulous Server Browser. It includes a buddy list that highlights any server in the list with one of your buddies on it, once you've added them to your list. It's much less of a memory hog than opening up Tremulous itself, and it's easier to find servers that your friends are on at a glance. A neat little server browser for Windows users.
You can get it from R1CH's site here. | 6 comments |

Well, DASPRiD is not really a known lazy bastard and is updating his Tremulous-related projects faster than a Tremulous-releated newssite can follow...
Whatever, you want the news, here are the news:
TremRadio has its own mini-website now at http://dev.dasprids.de/tremradio. Make sure to add that one to your bookmarks for good music and some Tremulous talk!
His other baby, Tremstats, is doing fine as well. He just released version 5.1.2 and set up a subversion server. You can checkout the current version at http://svn.dasprids.de/repos/tremstats/trunk or view it at http://websvn.dev.dasprids.de/. | 1 comment |

A change has gone into place on the master server. All servers using spaces or other characters to bump their rank up are being blocked.
Remove these, and you will appear on the list again hopefully. | 1 comment |

The amitious crew over at !SatGNU! is planning an invite-only event on their server this weekend. Only experienced gamers who are known as able teamplayers will be allowed to join the fray!
Here is the original announcement by maci and Lava Croft:
First off, I would like to say that I am quite annoyed with the level of skill the general Tremulous populace shows when playing, and I know that I am not the only one whose fun in Tremulous is being seriously killed off by this. As a result, the SatGNU crew has come up with the following idea, and we would like your feedback on it.
From Friday 1800h until Monday 0600h, SatGNU will be closed for the general public. This means you cannot get in without an invitation. An invitation can consists out of one of two things; You either have above level 0 Admin Rights on SatGNU, or you get a personal invitation by one of the SatGNU Server Admins. This means that if you don't have above level 0 Admin Rights, or you haven't got a personal invitation, you will have to find another server to play on during the weekends, which shouldn't be that big of a problem.
We (the SatGNU crew) hope that this will help us in regaining our fun in playing Tremulous, and we hope the players attending these events will feel the same. Now, you might be wondering if you have either level 1 or higher Admin Rights on SatGNU, or if you will be invited, so let's clear that up.
To check if you have the proper Admin Rights, just connect to SatGNU and type /!admintest in the console, it should output either your Admin level, or nothing, since you have no Admin Rights and therefore cannot use the command.
If you do not have Admin Rights on SatGNU, but you do feel like you are a capable Tremulous player, and you would really like to play some Tremulous games without constantly being annoyed by brainless drones ruining your fun in all sorts of manners, hop by #satgnu on QuakeNet IRC, where one of the Ops will be happy to help you out, and check if you indeed have more than 5 braincells, so you can participate.
I would like to add to this that any personal matters do not apply here, meaning that it doesn't matter if we like each other or not, as long as you are a capable Tremulous player, you are welcomed with open arms.
Since there is no known way to only let certain people connect during these hours, we will put a password on the server, which means that if you are eligible to participate in these games, you will have to come to #satgnu on QuakeNET IRC, every Friday around 1800h, when we will give out the password for this week's event.
I hope that these events will become a succes, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all on SatGNU this coming weeked, for stress-free Tremulous gaming, the way it is meant to be.
Yours Truly,
maci & Lava Croft | 4 comments |

The first Tremleague has been concluded, here are the results, presented by Smokey, Tremleague Admin:
Quote "Smokey": Well, First off congrats to (KillaZ+) For winning!
For the teams who did show, i think that they had a good time overall.
One major issue that came up was how unbalanced the teams really are. Aliens won every game. So for any future games that would need to be adjusted.
It was a fun experience and i hope to do it again soon.
Here some links on the matter...
